About Dominion Academy

Dominion Academy (DA) is a faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting homeless, fatherless, and previously incarcerated children in Washington State. We provide a safe haven for children who have faced abandonment, abuse, and neglect, helping them become self-sufficient, healthy, and productive citizens. Our comprehensive program includes Christian mentoring, long term housing, behavioral health referrals, pre-employment services, and independent life skills training.

Mission

Dominion Academy is a non-profit organization committed to assisting homeless, fatherless, and previously incarcerated youth in the state of Washington. By providing a safe space, Christian mentoring, and educational assistance, we will foster commitment and personal growth.

Vision

Our vision is to help these youth become healthy, self-sufficient, and productive citizens by offering housing, behavioral health referrals, case management services, on-the-job training, and internships. Β DA will empower the youth and help them discover their purpose and realize their God-given potential.

Meet Our Board

Founder & CEO

Murray A Vazquez

Meet Murray A. Vazquez (He/Him), the dedicated Founder/CEO of a non-profit organization focused on Youth Rehabilitation and Behavioral Services. With profound expertise, Minister Vazquez is a steadfast advocate for high-risk BIPOC youth and their families. With an impressive 24 years of unwavering commitment to their empowerment.

Murray’s passion stems from his belief that each individual possesses a divine purpose that deserves nurturing and protection. His own early exposure to social and racial injustices during military service at 16 years of age, ignited his determination to create a safe haven for young people to discover their purpose and maximize their potential, giving birth to Dominion Academy.

Applying his profound knowledge in youth violence prevention, substance use disorder, and his role as a preacher and teacher of the gospel, Minister Vazquez approaches his work at Dominion Academy with a holistic and unique perspective. His dedication continues to positively impact the lives of countless young individuals in need.

Minister V is also a loving husband, father of three, and grandfather of five.

Rob’n T. Vazquez

Meet Rob’n T. Vazquez (She/Her), an accomplished finance expert with over 19 years of experience. Her diverse skill set encompasses strategic leadership, project oversight, expenditure analysis, and a keen adherence to GAAP procedures.
In her role as treasurer, Rob’n has consistently displayed a talent for transparent and efficient financial operations, ensuring the sustainability of vital youth rehabilitation programs. She excels in the effective allocation and utilization of resources, fostering collaborations both within and beyond the organization.

Drawing from her extensive background in private consulting across various industries, Robn’s exceptional communication skills are a hallmark of her ability to bridge the gap between administration, staff, and technology. This skillset leads to more productive and mutually beneficial relationships, reinforcing the Nonprofit’s mission of providing essential youth rehabilitation and behavioral services.

In her spare time, she is a devoted pet parent to her ever-growing “posse of pups”, and as an accomplished voice-over artist, she can be heard in some local ads & corporate training videos, and is currently working on an animated short film!

Arunita Samaddar

Meet Arunita Samaddar (She/Her), our passionate Creative Director, dedicated to advancing youth rehabilitation and behavioral services at Dominion Academy. With a rich and diverse background, Arunita brings invaluable experience to our team.
Arunita holds dual Master’s degrees in Communications and Gender Studies and is a Certified Peer Counselor. Her journey encompasses roles as a skilled Copywriter, competent Research Scholar, and compassionate Assistant Professor.

Arunita’s vision is to utilize her counseling expertise and nuanced understanding of behavioral health to promote comprehensive mental health education and wellness practices for our youth. She has been a college educator as well as a Copywriter for non-profit organizations, making a meaningful impact on young lives by guiding them towards rehabilitation and employment readiness.
